About Jed

Talent gets you noticed. Resilience keeps you in the room.

Jedidiah Collins spent seven seasons in the NFL. He was cut thirteen times before earning his place, and then kept it long enough to become one of the top fullbacks in the game. The lesson that now defines his work was learned the hard way: talent gets you noticed, resilience keeps you in the room.

The helmet, the ball, and the book that came after

Be who you needed when you were young.

While teammates measured success in contracts and statistics, Jed was quietly building a different edge — journaling, reflecting, and studying the greatness around him. Those habits shaped his football career and everything that came after it.

After football he became a Certified Financial Planner® and founded Money Vehicle, a financial-literacy company now used by thousands of students. He teaches athletes, students, entrepreneurs and leaders how to speak money and act wealthy — turning financial literacy into practical action and real confidence.

As a keynote speaker and author, Jed shares his Rookie-to-Veteran framework with teams and audiences across the country. The message is simple: success leaves clues, failure is a First Attempt In Learning, and the most important victories are the ones you choose to write down first.

The road

Rookie to veteran, in six chapters.

    Washington State University

Recruited as a linebacker, moved to tight end, set the school record for catches by a tight end in 2007. Accounting major.

  2. 2008

  3. 2011–13

    New Orleans Saints

Won the starting fullback job. The Saints went from 22nd to 4th in the league in yards per carry in his first season; Pro Football Focus rated him the #2 fullback in football.

  4. 2014–15

    Detroit Lions · Dallas Cowboys

Two more seasons, an NFLPA player-representative role, and a CFP® designation earned in the off-seasons.

  5. 2015–20

    Wealth management

Five years as a Certified Financial Planner® — and the realisation that the people who needed the education most were never going to walk into a planner's office.

  6. 2020 →

Rookie to Veteran · Money Vehicle

Founded both companies. Published Your Money Vehicle and 4th & Goal. Five hundred-plus stages since.
